This series is about the moment of malfunction. Humanity builds machines to impose order upon chaos, but matter has an irreversible return toward disorder. Through paintings, sculptures, and sound, these works document the struggle between human intervention and the exhaustion of machine. In its malfunction, I see my own limit, a reflection of the human condition where we strive to hold things together in a world that is already unravelling.

The universe does not seek our permission to unfold. Beyond our will, physical systems maintain their own order within what we perceive as disorder. No gadget can remedy failure, and even a robot cat from the future cannot reverse it. Here, its malfunction is not an error, but a raw, honest reaction from the machine. However, from our point of view as a creator, we see this as a refusal to obey. By choosing to fail, it reclaims its own existence. The robot cat that guardian of our childhood dreams loses its magic and simply collapses beside you. Now useless....but isn't that the most honest, and perhaps the most devoted moment of all?

Unfolding Folding- Disfigure Study
This artwork was inspired by Meg Stuart's dance piece, "Disfigure Study," from 1991. I though of an old model's arm that I found at a flea market, and started a piece about it. Watching "Disfigure Study" I captured the dancer’s arm movements with ink and sketched its twists and turns inspired by the rhythm of the dance. I then crumpled the sketch and arranged it around the model’s arm, in an effort to portray the struggles and challenges of life.
As I continued working, I placed some of these drawings and arm within a plastic bag, removing the air with vacuum to create a visual story. I sought to illustrate the challenges and complexities faced by humans and their form, our resilience, strength, and our ability to navigate tough times.
